KKR IPL Collections 2018

Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2018

The Kolkata Knight Riders (also known by the acronym KKR) are a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta. The team is coached by Jacques Kallis. The home of the Knight Riders is Eden Gardens, the largest cricket stadium in India and the second largest in the world by seating capacity.

Although the team has gained immense popularity due to its association with celebrity owners, it was surrounded with controversy and poor on-field performance through the first three years of the tournament. The team's performance, however, improved from the fourth season as it qualified for the IPL playoffs as well as the now defunct Champions League Twenty20. They eventually became the IPL champions for the first time in 2012, by defeating Chennai Super Kings in the final and repeated the feat in 2014, defeating Kings XI Punjab. The Knight Riders hold the record for the longest winning streak by any Indian team in T20s (14).

The leading run-scorer of the side is Gautam Gambhir, while the leading wicket-taker is Sunil Narine. The official theme of the team is Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo Re (we will perform, fight and win!) and the official colours are purple and gold. The brand value of the Knight Riders was estimated at $99 million in 2017, second highest among IPL franchises.

Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders unveiled their new jersey for the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) during an event held in Kolkata on April 1. Nokia, the principal sponsors of the franchise until 2014 (the last time KKR won the title), marked their return as the primary brand, with the logo emblazoned on the chest of the uniform. We here have all the jerseys with all the attractive customisation options available.

Speaking on Gautam Gambhir's departure, under whose leadership the franchise won two titles, Karthik said: “Being a leader of the team, the management will expect from me the same. I’m aware of the expectations. Yes, there would be pressure. As a captain, you’re expected to at least go to the playoffs, that’s the least anybody can expect. I think I’m at a stage where I can handle it and get the best out of the team".

"In 2012, nobody had even heard of Sunil Narine. He came and took IPL by storm. So something like that could happen and I always feel in every adversity there is an opportunity. So there may be someone who can come and surprise us. We are disappointed but not that much," he added.

Now enjoy the matches with your own customised jerseys with more loaded fun time.

The purple and golden color combination of the team’s T shirt used to be the most eye catching one among all the franchises. The Kolkata jersey for the 2018 edition of the IPL is a combination of red-black colors that replaces the old purple-golden attire.

The Customised fan jersey for men for Kolkata Knight Riders is priced at Rs. 549 while the same for women is priced at Rs. 549 for all sizes. The replica match t-shirts cost about Rs. 649 for both men and Women.

Kolkata Knight Riders has made some smart purchases in the recently concluded IPL 10 player auction and the fans will have reason to be positive about the chances of the KKR roster especially with the omission of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

The world renowned Eden Gardens hosts the home matches of this popular franchise and fans always ensure that the 70,000 capacity of the ground is completely utilized with no empty seats seen during matches.

The sea of purple and gold on all match days at Eden Gardens and the thousands seen on the streets show the crazy demand for the replica jerseys among the fans who are among the loudest in the IPL. KKR 2018 jersey can be bought using the above links.

Dinesh Karthik, who replaced the Delhi-returned Gautam Gambhir as the captain of the new-look side, presented the new jersey to the crowd in the company of his colleagues, along with coach Jacques Kallis.

Although owner Shah Rukh Khan was not present at the event, CEO Venky Mysore accompanied the players. Karthik, along with Uthappa, Andre Russell, Kallis and Kuldeep Yadav then spoke to the media.

Speaking about the unavailability of Mitchell Starc, whose official replacement will be named on April 2, Venky said: "It's funny how injuries are beyond anybody's control. Sunrisers are feeling something, Mumbai lost a player, Bangalore lost a player so this is what you plan for sometimes".

"You hope that it doesn't happen but you are ready. So it's not about big names to be honest," he said.
